Have you ever been bitten by one of these thing before? Hell they hurt!! We used to call them jumping Jacks, as you can see in the image they have bright yellow nippers with a black body. They are as quick as greased lightning, and instead of walking they jump around.

I used to encounter these guys when I lived in East Gippsland quite a lot, and have been showered by the damn things. Their sting is as bad as the inch man's bite, the big red and black bull ants, like the one on Bullant's avatar, and these bugger's are only have the size.  Ahhhh!

I haven't seen one of those ants for years, there were a lot of huge nests in the bush at one time, I have seen their nests up to 10 feet in diameter, and nearly 2 feet tall, and yes they bloody hurt when the sting you. Stamp Feet

Yes, they do bite those buggers and they are on you so quick too then they all seem to attack at once when you disturb them. The thing with them is that you don't realise that you are on their nest until you get bitten. Sick

This lioness has developed an unbreakable bond with the people who saved her, truly amazing. Below the first clip is another story of a similar encounter, in this case the lion was raised from a cub. There are dogs, hyenas, leopards and lions all playing together with this man, it's truly touching to see such harmony. This is a must see in my opinion. Thumbs up mate!

Going back to the Jumping Jacks, I've been bitten by these things many times, but it seems that I was extremely lucky. It turns out that the venom they release is one of the most toxic in the world of any ants and people have died from it. In Tasmania there is a real problem with these critters, and ambulances a called out regularly, with the victims having to be hospitalised.... And I used to play with them as a kid!! Fright/Cold Kids used to be stung all the time, but we never had a problem only a lot of dam pain, and a serves you right for playing with them from your parents, so it makes me wonder what has changed? I wonder

Wow, that's a big snake!! A huge Carpet Python has been discovered by a cyclist in a national park in Queensland while on their daily ride, this is amazing and scientist are bewildered by it's size.

Well, this is one bite this guy will never forget. How would you be sitting there fishing and this White Pointer jumps out and bites your rod in half??  Watch it!

Compliments of PK.
