I see it all the time when walking through town, they cross the road while texting too! How dangerous can you get, some folks like living on the edge I guess. Fright/Cold

Thank God Mum heard his screams.  Poor little bloke, I hope it doesn't give him nightmares for the rest of his life.  I know it would me.  Shock

Yes, good point, he probably will have nightmares and sleeping problems.
Lots of TLC and understanding is in order if this happens.

That dam snake must have been desperate for food and is it any wonder with the habitat being demolished by greedy developers and governments.

I was browsing over Twitter today and found the pic below. I looked at it for about 5 minutes and pondered over the accuracy of the statement, in the words "fear is not real. It is a product of thoughts that you create" & "Fear is a choice" Thinking

I will reserve my opinion at this stage out of interest as to what you think about the quoted words above and any opinions that you may have. I wonder

Ok, no takers, then my opinion is:

Fear is very real.

It is a product of involuntary reaction to involuntary thought created in your mind. It is an inbuilt safety mechanism within our minds in the presence of danger, then....

Fear is not a choice.

In relation to the statements above being suddenly confronted by danger they are not accurate.

On the other hand, if you have to face a known danger or fear in your own time, only then, the statement is partly correct, apart from "fear is not real" as fear is very real, whichever way you look at it.  Serious man

I agree Rb fear is very real, but I can see his point of view too .... our mind plays many tricks on us. I know I am terrified of falling, and dislike spiders and snakes intensely, and that is what fear is supposed to do, make us aware of dangers.

Watch it!

Well at least one politician has a spine. Mike Baird has banned greyhound racing in NSW. cheers

At last a politician that has done something against animal cruelty, like him or not, this is indeed a great decision and and a courageous one!!

Well done Mike Baird!! Applause

Now the screaming will start from the racing fraternity, well let them scream I say.  Idea

I just heard that too - about time, but how many other poor animals will die before Victoria does something. I think we are only one of 5 other countries that allow greyhound racing. Once I finish travelling I think I will adopt a greyhound, they are big enough to walk briskly but being hounds are content to laze about for the rest of the day .... sounds like someone I know ... I'm outa here Jubilant
