How many of you managed to complete the census, or were you locked out of the "website"??

In my opinion this was a way to have everyone's data stored on line in one easy foul swoop stored for 99 years, yes that's right in one big data retention data base. The very reason I filled the paper out using the form provided.

That's beside the point though, the story that they a throwing at people about why it crashed and how is a load of rubbish! It may have been hacked, probably by using dDos, a common method used by hackers to overload server's to the point that they eventually crash. (dDos is a "Denial of service attack")

You all will remember the week that we were off line on our old site, that was caused by a dDsos attack on some of their server's. Data for all the websites on some of their server's had to be reinstalled via backups that they had, that's what the delay was in getting us all back on line.

One professor from a university even went on to explain to the press how dDos is done for heavens sake! The truth of the matter is, so they say, is that it may have been hacked, but there were no traces found from where or who it came from, which is another strange coincidence. Google provides a tracking device to monitor web sites for DDos attacks. They reported no unusual behaviour on the site, however, many people are dismissing this "theory" and are putting it down to the LNP incompetence, which on the other hand could be the reason for lack of answers from the government.

Once again our politicians are covering up the real truth, and they are all good at that. In my opinion, I smell a cover up. As for data that was on the server's, whether it was breached or not, only time will tell. It's taking a long time to restore the site though. Now the other question is, can we still use the $470 million census? paid by taxpayers over a 5 year period.

Glad I filled my form out and posted it.

I was on Twitter a couple of night ago, when a man form Yemen tweeted, " the Saudi's are bombing us again and I have three little nieces here to worry about" One reply was may Allah protect them, and a reply to that was, NO, may God protect them!

I looked at both these tweets and thought to myself, neither of them are sparing a thought for this man or his nieces, they are only trying to make a point to each other in the name of their respective religions.

I viewed the footage and photo's that were taking place at that very moment, very traumatic and totally turmoil for the residence, let alone little children.

So I returned a tweet to this man "may you and your three little nieces be safe irrespective of your religious beliefs my friend"

His reply to me nearly left me in tears. The kindness and appreciation he expressed will stay with me for a long time. He knew at least someone outside of his country Yemen, cared for him and his nieces in there darkest hours.

His last tweet read God bless you.

Karma does bite really hard sometimes, and judging someone doesn't define them, it defines yourself.

Sure would spook, you'd want to crawl into the smallest hole you could find.
