That was a truly beautiful song, had never heard it before, thank you so much for posting it Rb...I shall be downloading to my IPod......

The poor soldiers had nearly another 4 years of that horror to go before Armistic Day too.

Wow, that sounds so fun!! Thanks dear for this brilliant post on “The Spirit of Christmas 1914”. I just loved reading this post. Well, this year I want to keep Christmas celebration simple and will book the best happy hour nyc venue for celebrating Christmas with only my family members.

I just read this post on Christmas 1914, and the song is very touching, once again the troops had no choice or say in the matter of war. The whole story in the link, on it's own is extremely interesting and sad but well worth the read. Sad
