Agreed, and some people like the elderly lady you mentioned still find it in their heart to forgive, I am afraid it wouldn't be that easy for me, and a lot of other people as well. As you say KM, what a remarkable woman.

Agreed KM, there is no real satisfactory way to filter out who is who apart from past records of offenders, but then some are bound to slip under the net because of no record of criminal behaviour.
This is already showing up in Europe.

Too true Bullant.  What really irks me, and I'm sure so many others, is the way this judicial system lets people back into society when they are not rehabilitated.  So they go back into society and commit more dreadful crimes and leave families reeling with not only the loss of their loved ones, but the feeling that yet again, the perpetrator wins.

Some of the horrendous crimes that are committed by people today, leads me to believe that those people cannot be rehabilitated, especially terrorists.
