Someones in deep poo. There's more leaks in Parliament these days than the illegal boats the people smugglers use. Smile

I found this story quite remarkable, and it shows a distinct lack of leadership in this country. Our spineless leaders followed the UN's decision who asked (ordered) every country to take in refuge's from Syria and Iraq, which in my opinion was a mistake, especially when you look at the state of affairs in Europe.

Now the government puppets of this country have decided to place 12,000 of the "refuges" in one area of Sydney, the same area that the Vietnam refuges were placed in which did not work and it led to mass crime. The area is now the worst area in Sydney to live according to this report.

Where should we put them then? Well we shouldn't have taken them to start with, we have our own people living on the streets in poverty, including mums with children, families struggling to make a living and make ends meet along with unemployment and no infrastructure to create employment, and what infrastructure we had, has been sold.

The government is claiming that the welfare budget is being strained by pensioners, and has taken some pensions away from people who worked all their lives, paid taxes and helped keep the economy ticking over. On the other side of the coin we have other refuge's who have settled here, on benefits from that same budget, going over seas on so called holidays. Not to mention the extravagant spending by government ministers going on overseas trips.

One wonders how many of this new intake will be on benefits as well? This is not the lucky country any more, it is being forfeited by grossly negligent federal and state governments, who have their own interests in hand, first and for most.
