Hell, I'm sick to death of these idiots that present themselves on TV and criticize the coal industry for high co2 emissions, and that's all they do, none of them can come up with an alternative to generate electricity to supply industry and our demands for it, BECAUSE THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE!

The technology is not available, apart from nuclear energy, which is clean and emits no co2, but there are problems, the waste being the biggest. However a country in Europe either Switzerland, Finland, Denmark or one of those countries uses nuclear energy, and have done so for years, and their emissions are second to none, with people living in close proximity of the reactors, and they are not built in an earthquake zone.

Wind farms and solar panels would not go close to supplying our demands, I can't believe the mentality of these wingers. I am all for a cleaner environment, but hell, let's use some common sense. Angry

Here we go again. Protesters waving banners to try and force the Government into forcing renewable energy, but none of them can produce a banner that says this source will supply all our energy needs, these people to me are so naive that it is down right stupidity.

Surely these people must realise that what is being done is the best that can be done with the technology we have available to us at this time? If the technology was available then there would not be a problem! Sigh

Our climate is changing and that is a fact, whatever the reason is, no one really knows, some of it is man made but not all. I believe that nature has a way of compensating for abnormalities, it always does. To me there is not a lot that anyone can do for what is happening. As you know I fly aircraft with a good simulator and I use real time weather for the places that I fly to.

In our summer I like to fly to where there is snow, ice, wind and low visibility as a challenge. I have been flying with this program for about 13 years. This year I have flown with real weather to various destinies in Europe and in the northern hemisphere to seek out terrible flying conditions, including Alaska, however, there is no snow anywhere. The skies are clear, extremely cold, but not a cloud in site.

I have not been able to find one place on earth where there is snow. The temperatures are basically the same, but no clouds. So what is really happening here on earth? I wonder

Parts of the UK are flooded and other parts are having an early start to Spring with flowers in Kew Garden appearing months early.

I beleive you are right with the nature compensating theory, it just takes times is all ... but i wish she would dump a bit of rain up here, the storms we had the other day gave us some wecome relief but it all soaked in.

Pertaining to Australia, I have some 35 mm slides that I took on my travels from years ago, and to me nothing has changed much.

That's very true PK, but I have seen this before back when I was a kid, farmers in East Gippsland having to import feed for their stock because of the very reasons that we are discussing. On the other hand I have seen the same land flooded a few years before. Smile
