Agree, roses are one of my favourites, you just have to stop and smell them sometimes. Serious man

That's so true Ghostie, we should all make time to stop and smell the roses (but I did not know Ghosts had noses) Lol

Hmmmm don't have any of those, but I have one of the Easter Island statues with a straw hat on (for the summer he wears a footy beanie in winter)

It's coming up to the time to give your roses their Autumn prune for their last blooms before winter. Idea

Spot on RB - have just done this.  Thorny little devils that they are, but worth the perfume and beauty.

I well remember my 150 roses needing their "haircuts" there is an easy way to handle in between seasonal pruning, when you pick them make sure you take the stalk down to the next outward facing bud, it saves a bit of work for the summer and autumn prunings.

The 200 freesia bulbs I planted over the last couple of years are all in bud and I notice peach trees have blossom on them. I picked my first lemon last week to have on my fish and chips. Was sunny yesterday so I got out and fed my citrus trees, and got a big pot ready to plant some climbing beans in a week or so. My silverbeet still gives me a feed each week, and I need to put another lot of spring onions in ready for summer salads. Come on spring, I am sick of this freezing weather, bring back the sunshine Jubilant
