I think most people share your gut feeling that this idiot is a megalomaniac, whose primary interest is to increase his "power" to the world.  God help us if he gets elected.  Some people in America are already talking about emigrating to other countries if he is elected.  Serious man

He seems to have the American people hypnotised or something. I can't believe they they are convinced by this stuff. Mind you from the other side Clinton is no real choice either. Serious man

At least Clinton has had some diplomatic experience on the world stage - that's about the only positive I can see at the moment.  Serious man

That is an excellent point KM, diplomacy in this world of ours today is essential along with having a firm solid hand to govern and knowing exactly which way they are going.

I don't see any leader in the free world doing any of that at the moment, in Europe especially, it is a mess, with riots rape's murders, Islamic protesters, Islamic terror attacks, Islamic invasion and all sorts of garbage, but no one is listening to the people.

Especially Sweden, you never used to hear much about Sweden at all in the media once, now it's there every day, it really is in a lot of turmoil at the moment.

World Politics

Post by Rbjustme on Tue Sep 06, 2016 9:07 pm

Angela Merkel has gone, she is no longer in charge of Germany. She has only herself to blame and the people of Germany have spoken. Her open door policy towards refugees has brought her down. Still, she has said, that the people do not know what is good for them. She is still in total denial just like our current PM Malcolm Turnbull. Let's hope that the other world leaders sit up and take note. Is this the change that we all in the western world have been waiting for? It's all up to us, we, the people.

Time will tell RB - We were away when the elections were happening, and I honestly couldn't believe that he was the President Elect.  Time and history will tell the story.  I guess he tapped into some of the marginalised Americans who were desperate for a change.  I can understand this, though with Trumps policies on trade, and global security I hope he has the emotional intelligence to do what's best for his country, and the world in general.

I couldn't agree more KM, his victory shocked a lot of people all over the world. Things will become very interesting when he takes office in January which will shape US politics four the next four years and maybe world politics.

I reckon this too RB.  Let's hope he and Putin stay friends, and both stay well away from the red button.
