Donald Trump As President

Post by Rbjustme on Tue Jan 24, 2017 11:31 am

So, it starts.... Trump has withdrawn from the Trans-Pacific free trade agreement with Australia New Zealand and nine other Pacific nations, stating that he wants American products made by American companies in the US. They want their independence and self sufficiency back, while we keep selling ours.

Malcolm Turnbulls answer to Trumps decision. This being the case, where are all our new industries and record employment figures? Free trade rapes our country of industry and employment. This PM is brain dead! This issue has been rammed down our throats for years only to see our industries disappear, less jobs, lifestyle decrease, land and assets being sold to foreign investment leaving us totally not self sufficient to stand on our own two feet should a real disaster strike our country. Our politicians have been selling us out for years for their own gratification and self gain as well as dancing like puppets to activists and the United Nations. Angry

Trump has signed an executive order that could take away the "rights" of women from having an abortion all around the world, by cutting off/ banning federal funding to international organisations that perform abortions or promote the option.

Wow, this is a can of worms this one. I have never be swayed either way on this issue due to the circumstances and personal choice of the individual wishing to terminate a pregnancy, but there are those who oppose abortion no matter what the circumstances are, and those who think that a termination is ok just for convenience.

What are your thoughts about this decision of Trump?

The wall across the US/Mexico boarder will begin construction within a month or so, the Texico oil pipeline has been given the go ahead, which has pushed their stock market up to a high that hasn't been seen for years.

Companies are starting to invest already, and Toyota in America has just announced a huge upgrade which will create around 1200 new jobs. So this year is going to be an interesting one in world politics.

It's hard to know what to expect with Donald Trump, but one thing is for sure he seems to be all for his country and his people, and that is rare in today's political environment. Playing the "game" doesn't seem to be in his agenda, that is one thing that I do like about him, he does it his way.

Time will tell but if successful, it could change politics forever.

The wall on the Mexican/US boarder will be an interesting one, will begin a a month or so as RB says.

Donald Trump still maintains that the cost will be paid back by the Mexican Government one way or another, who knows what that means? Dunno

I am in favour of his infrastructure and industry plans for his country, self sufficiency only stands to reason for the people in any country. It means home grown jobs, the core to any family to survive and make ends meet. With this comes the added bonus of security when a country has it's own infrastructure and industry.

One would like to be a fly on the wall to hear this proposed telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. So far both leaders seem to have a common interest in improving relationships between their respective countries, that in itself is a step in the right direction in my opinion, however there are external forces that will try to stand in the way of this endeavour.

Your thought?

The seven country Muslim ban has stirred up a lot of controversy all around the world, with demonstrations from, you guessed it "Civil rights activists", but also leaders, among many other's. I wonder how many are Trump supporters?

However a US Judge, Ann Donnelly of the US District Court in New York has made a stay on the order that's blocks the deportation of the people effected, this will be interesting and is one of the reasons that Donald Trump became the 45th President.

The whole bloody world is up in arms, except Turnbull, he has no spine anyway. How can it be against the constitution when the American public voted him in for those very reasons? There were many speeches in his campaign stating that he would do such things, "unconventional things" and now there are mass demonstrations. The US at the moment is a divided country.

How long will it be before an attempt is made on Donald Trumps life by some aggravated idiot?
